Frequently Asked

In terms of payment, it will be broken into two parts: 50% non-refundable initial deposit and the remaining 50% can be paid when the project is completed.

The initial deposit is non-refundable, as it serves as a way to secure a spot in the queue. I only allot a certain amount of bookings within a month, and as a result, I would have to turn clients away for your time slot. The deposit also ensures that you are serious about this partnership!

What will I need to have ready before the project starts?

There will be an initial Zoom call, which will allow me to familiarize who I’ll be working with and the overall scope of the project. After that, I will be sending you an initial branding questionnaire form. You must have a solid idea of your target audience, business mission, products and services, a general idea of styles you like/appeal to your target audience and of course, your business name. Please provide all the content necessary for me to complete the project on our agreed upon start date. If not, this may result in rescheduling the project to a later date.

Keep in mind that all of your information in the initial branding questionnaire is final and cannot be changed in the middle of the project. If you need to change your branding specifications, there will be an additional charge.

Branding projects typically take between 3-8 weeks, depending on the package, feedback and what additional collateral items are included. Website projects can usually take between 4-10 weeks, depending on your website content and feedback. This way, I can provide the care and attention needed for each project I take in.

If you have a tight deadline and need the project completed in a shorter amount of time, there will be an additional rush fee. Please let me know well in advance so I can create a custom quote based on your time frame and complexity of the project.

What happens if I am still not happy with my design after 5 refinement rounds?

If you still need more revisions after the 5 refinement rounds, the cost of each additional revision is $50USD.

Please note, these revisions do not include changes to the initial branding requirements (information filled out in the branding questionnaire). This includes (but not limited to): changes in company name, website content & images, etc. If you do decide to change your company information in the midst of the project, there will be an additional charge.

How will we communicate throughout the process?

The initial meet and greet will commence through Zoom. This way, I get to ask questions about the ideal brand image you would like to create. From there, most of it will take place through the client portal, email, and Zoom to ensure that I keep track of all your detailed feedback.

What is the difference between a primary and secondary logo? What are brand marks and brand patterns?

The primary logo is the face of your brand; the logo that will most likely be on your page header or packaging collateral. The secondary logo is an additional format of your logo that is more flexible and adaptable, which can be used as your social media profile picture, in your website footer, and much more!

Brand marks can be used as a favicon you see on your website, which is essentially a simplified version of your logo. On the other hand, brand patterns is the overall pattern for your brand. Clients like to utilize patterns for consistent brand image. Some examples of what you do with your brand patterns are social media posts and packaging.

what is a moodboard?

A moodboard includes color schemes and image inspiration of your ideal brand image, serving as a brand ‘mood’. I take the details from your brand questionnaire to formulate the right moodboard. We will build upon this direction to make sure your design is authentic to your brand image.

Will I be able to use my fonts for commercial use?

I will provide you with personal-use files to give a sample of what the font looks like, along with the links on where you can purchase and download them. However due to legal reasons, you will be required to obtain your own separate license for these fonts.

I build all of my websites on Showit as it is a very straight forward platform for you to make basic website edits yourself. It is important to me that you feel confident in maintaining the website yourself once I have handed it over to you.
